The nine gifts EmmauOS measures

Part 1 of the assessment scores the seven gifts Paul lists in Romans 12, plus administration (1 Corinthians 12:28) and hospitality (1 Peter 4:9–10). Romans 12 stays the backbone: the gifts are always shown in its order, so a result never reads as a ranking.

  1. Prophecyseeing what is really going on and saying itRomans 12:6
  2. Servingquietly getting the thing doneRomans 12:7
  3. Teachingmaking hard things clearRomans 12:7
  4. Encouragingputting courage back into peopleRomans 12:8
  5. Givingfunding what mattersRomans 12:8

  7. Mercystaying with people who are hurtingRomans 12:8
  8. Administrationturning a plan into something that works1 Corinthians 12:28
  9. Hospitalitymaking room for people1 Peter 4:9–10

The assessment also gives a first look at the Ephesians 4 roles and, if your church includes it, maps the gifts of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 by experience. Why we ask what we ask explains the Scripture and research behind all three parts.
